We have conceptualized an action plan to showcase the richness of the UPC’s cultural and digital heritage.
The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, as a successor institution to the old technical schools, preserves an abundant and diverse cultural heritage that requires a digital transformation strategy. The result has been translated into an action plan that includes the conceptualization of a common web portal that allows the different heritage collections to be presented, the most emblematic and significant pieces and spaces of the University to be brought together and disseminated to the general public.
A common decentralized management tool for an entire federation of centers.
Results obtained:
- Diagnosis of the state of the UPC’s cultural and digital heritage and its state of digitization.
- A strategy and an action plan for the enhancement of the university’s various collections and cultural heritage units.
- Design and conceptualization of the web portal’s architecture according to the institution’s needs.
- Development of the UPC’s heritage portal.
- Interactive timeline and construction of a narrative thread of the UPC’s historical and cultural heritage.
- Global search engine for all UPC collections.
- Interactive map of the UPC’s architectural heritage.
